Jan. 6

Ministry Partners and Friends,

How I wish there were more hours in the day. Aaron is busy this morning getting the van ready for heading towards Kenya in the morning doing prisons all along the way as well as finalizing other details. There is so much to be done that I had to refuse an offer to speak in a church here this morning. Perhaps we can schedule them on a Sunday next trip, if God brings me back.

Today as I contemplated the long travel we had yesterday and the events of the day I was disappointed that only 2 received Christ as Savior the Holy Spirit reminded me that Jesus left the 99 to search for the 1 who was lost. I missed speaking in the church here today because yesterday I went searching for the 1 who was lost. Then in God's faithfulness He allowed me to find 2 who were lost! I am blessed to search for even 1 who is lost and I praise a Savior who has given me the Holy Spirit to give me the correct perspective.

And then there were the 70 who prayed to forgive someone else or themselves and the pastor reported that as the church members ate their lunch there was much conversation about the forgiveness message I shared and many were asking each other to forgive them for the offenses they had committed. I was just where God wanted me to be yesterday watching the Holy Spirit setting people free.

Tonight we had the opportunity to have dinner with Commissioner of Uganda Prison Services, Elizabeth and Deputy Commissioner Apollo. It's so wonderful to be able to work with the same officials each year. I appreciate them so much for all they do to help us do what God has called us to do within the prisons here. Last year Elizabeth said, "We are family," and that for sure is the way I feel about both of them.

It's after 11 and we have an early start so will jut say "Good night."

The team says thanks for the prayer covering.

That none would be lost,
Arlene
