July 4th Happy Fourth of July!

Ministry Partners
The motivation to began the day started when Lameck arrived at the residence where we are staying in Cyangugu. Lameck received Spiritual Leaders training from the IRM Team while he was a prisoner in Cyangugu prison. He told us how he had received a revelation from God that his being in prison was like being at school. As a result, when he received the training and got a certificate he understood that indeed what God had revealed to him was fulfilled. He got a revelation that he would have a new life after the prison life and when he got the certificate that had a heading titled "New Life International Reconciliation Ministries" he picked up on the word "New Life" to mean the fulfillment of the revelation God had given him.

After he joined us we then set off to Rusizi Prison with him and because we had both a local and international certificate authorizing us to enter the prison. So he was able to enter on our ticket.
July 4th is Liberation Day in Rwanda. The IRM Team was jubilantly welcomed into the prison to celebrate the day together with inmates, military officers and Rusizi Prison administration. The celebrations were marked by traditional dances and different liberation day songs.
The IRM Team was welcomed by the Prison Director and told to wait for when His Excellence the President of Rwanda would give his speech to the Nation and thereafter IRM would takeover the platform and start the preaching.
As they kept waiting for the President to give his speech on Radio, it did not take long when the Director of Prisons said that they will let the visitors take priority and be given the platform so that they may have enough time to carry out all their programs as planned.
Immediately, the Director of the prison stood up with the military officers and left thus giving  room for the spiritual leaders to organize the open crusade for the whole prison.
IRM Founder/President Rev. Pastor Arlene Tatum, preached the salvation massage  followed by the forgiveness message and we saw a countless number come to saving knowledge in Jesus Christ.
Chad Robison and Alfred also took time and testified on how they have forgiven and sought for forgiveness in their lives. Both the testimonies and messages preached had a big impact as we listened to the Deputy Director of Rusizi Prison testify that the message was what they all needed as inmates and prison officers. They did not hesitate to welcome the IRM team for the following day.
The IRM team was happy that former inmate Niyomugabo Lameck also served alongside them to testifying to the attending prisoners of how he was in that same prison from 2010 to 2012 when the IRM team visited there and did the Spiritual Leaders training of which he was part of the training. He told of how his life had been impacted and where his life is today. It was a powerful testimony to the current prisoners.
That none would be lost
Alfred
