Ministry Partners,
What a fun day.
It was nice to have a slow start today and we did not
have to be on the road Today our Rwanda ministry pastor partners traveled from
Rwanda to Uganda to meet and have lunch with us.
They arrived about 10 although they came from Kigali
at around 6. We are at a town only about 20 minutes from the border.
Those traveling were: Pastor Innocent, Pastor
Zebedee, Pastor Julianne, Pastor Andrew, Pastor Jerome and his wife of one week
Noel, Bishop Alexis and then from Uganda: Pastor Aaron, Pastor Geoffrey, Alfred
and myself.
After introductions we had each person present,
including the Ugandan pastors tell how they are their families were doing. It
was wonderful to hear that some had added babies of their own and others had
grandchildren added. Then the discussion went to how the prison ministry was
doing as well as working with the ever changing government.
I shared my thoughts toward them and appreciated their
coming followed by Pastor Innocent giving a brief devotional leading to
communion.
Everyone enjoyed the catered lunch buffet followed
by everyone going around the circle to lead in a song or share some scripture
for over an hour. What sweet fellowship it was for everyone involved.
The pastors were given booklets, ink pens, ties and
scarves and Arlene was blessed with a Mother's wedding gift from Jerome and Noel.
At 4:30 Alfred drove the Rwandan contingency the 20
minutes to the border so they could catch a ride home.
That none would be lost,
Arlene
