Dec. 21

Ministry Partners,
It was another beautiful morning her. I was awake at 5 and out to meet the truck at 7 to load the bibles, booklets and other supplies. Pastor Peace will accompany the truck as they began off loading a few of everything at all the 32 prisons we will be visiting here in Uganda. As the prisons increase the supplies need to be further divided so each gets a smaller amount. Example, one prison of 2,000 will get 112 bibles & booklets and 14 blankets. I must tell you, I am thankful for each one. I can't imagine going at Christmas and having nothing tangible to bless them with. "Thank You" to each one who first help helped with sending the gospel message of Jesus precious salvation and then also sent tangible gifts.                                                                                                                                                                            You are appreciated.

Bibles loaded with blankets and other supplies yet to go. The driver was Muslim but he smiled broadly and said yes when I asked him if we could all pray together before they set off.

Deputy Commissioner Apollo arrived to add 10 more bundles of blankets (30 per bundle) to go with these 5 that he delivered yesterday to make a total of 450 purchased this year. He suggested that they go to the elderly, sick, pregnant or those with babies, a good suggestion I think.

The rest of the team then had breakfast before Pastor Aaron took the van to be serviced before we start the first prison crusade tomorrow. At breakfast I met a very beautiful young women and was able to spend some time chatting with her, sharing the gospel. There might be an opportunity to speak at her church if God brings me back next year.

Sorting supplies and getting ready has filled my day as I try to get things in line, prepared and ready for tomorrow.

Please pray we need your prayers, Satan is violently attacking in every area which is just proof, as in the past, that we are going to see the Holy Spirit's power poured out like never before!
  • Open hearts for the Gospel
  • Favor with the O.C.'s at every prison
  • Safety as both teams will began traveling in country tomorrow: 1. Offloading Bibles and supplies and 2. Holding crusades
  • Health, energy and rest for all of us
  • A fresh anointing on the translators and me
Thank you so much for your partnership in prayer during this time.

There are times like these when at the end of the day you just want to eat and go to bed but you just have to laugh out loud ..... HARD. Pastor Aaron calls to inform you that he is in a traffic jam and has no idea when he will get back to go over details for tomorrow. When you order a bacon cheeseburger hamburger for dinner and a VERY plain burger comes after 30 minutes and when you say you are to tired to wait for them to cook bacon but could you please have some cheese and they bring 2 big hunks of cheese. Then arriving back at your room you find that the Saturday night extremely loud music and socializing party outside your bedroom in the garden is in full swing and are told it will go until at least midnight. I mean really, are you not seeing the humor in all these events?
Well, you would if you knew the particulars of the rest of this day!!!!!

I'm going to try my huge earphones on over my earplugs and see if I can get some rest, night all.

That none would be lost,
Arlene
